Licensed Practical Nurse

LPN – Medical Surgical / Observation | Night Shift | Zanesville, OH

This travel LPN opportunity is based in Zanesville, Ohio, with a start date of November 16, 2026. The contract runs 13 weeks at 36 hours per week.

Shift Details

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call requirement

Unit & Clinical Scope

The LPN will work primarily on Medical Surgical and Observation units, with float coverage across related units including Surgical, Respiratory, Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation. You will manage a patient load of up to 5 patients under RN oversight and must be proficient in reading telemetry — a competency check is conducted on day one.

Requirements

• Active Ohio LPN license
• Active BLS certification
• IV certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent, verifiable hospital experience (non-hospital experience will not be considered)
• Demonstrated EMR proficiency is required prior to assignment; on-site refresher training is not available
• Telemetry reading competency — candidates who do not pass the day-one assessment will not be retained
