Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week contract assignment in Tulsa, OK. You'll work nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) providing comprehensive respiratory care to patients with varying levels of insufficiency and acuity.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and assess the appropriate type and frequency of respiratory treatment
- Develop individualized care plans based on patient diagnosis
- Implement, monitor, and adjust respiratory care equipment and modalities
- Perform advanced respiratory interventions
- Document and communicate patient status and treatment responses
- Administer medications and evaluate outcomes
- Educate patients and families about their condition and available community resources
- Respond to emergency codes and provide resuscitation support
Requirements
- NBRC certification (current)
- Oklahoma Respiratory Therapist license (current)
- EPLS certification required
- Standard onboarding requirements: background check, drug screen, immunizations (MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza), TB screening, and fit testing
Schedule
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Up to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
- Holiday flexibility as needed by the department
