Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Location: Louisville, KY

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend required

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: November 15, 2026

About the Role

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its telemetry unit. You'll provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care to patients with cardiac and other acute conditions, managing a typical patient load while collaborating closely with physicians, cardiologists, and the interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring; interpret rhythms and identify arrhythmias, escalating care as needed
• Assess, monitor, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer cardiac medications, including drips and antiarrhythmics, per physician orders
• Respond to rapid response and code interventions
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient response accurately
• Maintain infection control and fall prevention protocols
• Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized plans of care

Requirements

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• Minimum 1+ years of telemetry/cardiac nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency
• ADN or BSN (BSN preferred)
• Experience monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing cardiac medications

Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety are essential.
