Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced OR nurse to provide circulating and/or scrub support across a variety of general surgical procedures. You will work in a fast-paced surgical environment, collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the broader surgical team to ensure safe, efficient case flow and optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform circulating and/or scrub nursing duties during general surgical cases, including orthopedic, urology, ENT, gynecology, and general surgery procedures
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments, and equipment for each case
• Conduct pre-operative assessments; verify surgical site, consent, and procedure per protocol
• Perform accurate instrument, sponge, and needle counts before, during, and after procedures
• Monitor patient status and safety throughout surgical procedures
• Manage surgical supplies, equipment, and instrumentation
• Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and post-operative handoff to PACU
• Document intraoperative care accurately in the EMR, including counts, medications, and patient status

Requirements

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• Minimum 1 year of general OR experience
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Ability to function in both circulating and scrub roles
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy

Schedule & Contract Details

• Shift: 5 x 8-hour days
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 15, 2026
