Pediatric Emergency Room RN — Humble, TX

Night Shift | 13-Week Contract

This travel RN opportunity is based at a freestanding pediatric emergency room, providing urgent and emergency care exclusively to pediatric patients in a focused, team-oriented environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 18:00–06:00
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Rotating weekends required (Saturday and Sunday)

Clinical Scope

The unit handles a full range of pediatric emergency presentations. Staff perform on-site point-of-care lab testing, respiratory swabs (flu, COVID, strep), IV placement, foley catheter placement, EKGs, and moderate sedation procedures. Acuity varies, with staffing adjusted accordingly.

Required Skills & Certifications

• Strong IV and EKG skills
• and acuity assessment experience
• Active certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, BLS

Preferred Qualifications

• ENPC certification
• CPI training

Float Requirements

Candidates must be willing to float to a main ER campus and other freestanding emergency room locations as needed.
