Interim Cath Lab Manager

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Interim Cath Lab Manager to lead operations in a busy cardiac catheterization lab. You will maintain staff schedules, oversee new team member onboarding, develop strong physician relationships, and monitor productivity and operational metrics. This role does not require scrubbing; non-scrub candidates are welcome to apply.

Shift & Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 8-hour days
• 0800–1630
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract

Clinical Environment

The cath lab performs an average of 8 cases daily across 2 suites, managing all cardiac invasive procedures (excluding structural heart work) and peripheral interventions including carotid procedures, A/V grafts, and EVAR. The unit is supported by an on-site IV team, 24/7 pharmacy, and 24/7 respiratory therapy.

Requirements

• 2+ years of cath lab experience
• ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications
• NIHSS certification
• RN license

Call & On-Call Expectations

• Call required: every other weekend minimum (Friday 1530–Monday 0700)
• Average call days: 12–18 per assignment (including weekends)
• 30-minute response time
• Holiday call rotation

• Hospital-provided scrubs
• Up to 4 shifts may be canceled per 13-week assignment
• Charting via electronic health record
• Charge nurse and cath lab/IR technologists on staff
