Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Position Overview

The facility's operating room is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a busy surgical team. You'll work in a high-volume OR environment managing diverse surgical specialties and patient populations.

Shift & Schedule

• 4x10-hour day shifts: 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Weekend requirement: 1 weekend every 6 weeks
• No floating required
• On-call: Optional
• Holidays: Optional
• Contract duration: 13 weeks

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years OR experience (first-time travelers welcome with appropriate experience)
• Pennsylvania or compact RN license required at submission
• Current BLS certification
• BSN degree required
• Level II Trauma experience
• Ability to scrub general surgery, gynecology, urology, orthopedics, neurology, vascular, and robotic cases
• Laparoscopic-assisted and total joint replacement experience required

Clinical Scope

You'll support a range of procedures including general surgery, trauma, gynecologic, urologic, orthopedic, neurologic, vascular, thoracic, ENT, and endoscopic cases. Experience with robotic platforms, hybrid OR procedures, and both open and minimally invasive techniques is essential. Preferred specialties include ortho, urology, endoscopy, vascular, thoracic, neuro/neuro spine, bariatrics, plastics, ENT, podiatry, and transplant.

Equipment & Operations

• Approximately 19 OR rooms; 50 cases per day
• Must demonstrate proficiency with electrosurgical units, fiber-optic light sources, and cell saver
• Preferred: Hana Table and Steris experience
• Scrubs provided

• All time-off requests must be submitted at time of application
• 12-hour orientation included
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
