Cardiovascular Sonographer | Salem, VA | 13-Week Contract
This cardiovascular imaging role is based in a dedicated cardiac unit providing both inpatient and outpatient echocardiography services. The unit operates Monday through Friday for in- and outpatient studies, with inpatient acute care coverage on weekends.
Schedule
- Four 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Every 3rd weekend required
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Clinical Scope
Sonographers in this role perform a high volume of cardiac imaging studies and provide direct procedural support, including:
- Transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE)
- Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
- Cath lab support for TAVR and Watchman procedures
- OR support for CABG and valve surgeries
Required Qualifications
- Active BLS certification
- RDCS or RCS credential (required)
- Experience with advanced cardiac imaging and procedural assistance preferred
