Neuro Stepdown – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Neuro Stepdown unit. You'll provide care to patients transitioning from higher acuity settings, supporting recovery and safe progression in a collaborative clinical environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• 13-week contract
• Must work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• Minimum 12 months of permanent experience in neurology or related specialty
• Valid permanent Ohio license or compact state license in hand at time of application
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Progressive care or PCU experience preferred but not required
• One professional reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) from an assignment within the past 12 months

What You'll Do

Deliver direct patient care in a stepdown setting, manage post-acute neuro patients, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and maintain current competencies in rhythm interpretation and medication safety protocols. You'll complete facility-specific assessments during orientation, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate testing.

• You'll complete required modules (6–15 hours) prior to start
• Background check and drug screening required
• Extension options available up to 18 months
