Respiratory Therapist – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for night shift coverage in a hospital setting. You'll provide respiratory care across multiple units, including the ED, ICU, and neonatal areas.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 2, 2025
- Orientation: November 2, 9, or 16
Requirements
- Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate licensure
- Minimum 24 months of current psychiatric/behavioral health experience
- Current certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care)
- Experience with ventilators and respiratory support equipment
- NICU experience preferred
- Professional reference from supervisor/manager (within 24 months)
- Valid driver's license
Important Notes
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility (verified by driver's license)
- Holiday rotation required: You'll work 1–2 of the three winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) unless the unit is closed
- No on-call requirement
- First-time travelers considered
