Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) — Travel RN | Utica, NY
This long-term night shift opportunity places you in a high-acuity intermediate care unit managing a diverse adult patient population (18+) across neurology, cardiac, trauma, respiratory, and post-operative specialties.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- 48 hours guaranteed weekly
- Floating required
- Block scheduling is not guaranteed
Clinical Scope
Common diagnoses include stroke/neuro, MI, COPD, DKA, sepsis, cardiovascular step-down, and post-op recovery. You will work with specialty equipment including temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, and ventilator management for chronic vent patients who are unable to wean (respiratory therapy support provided).

- Duration: 13 weeks (with extended opportunity)

Requirements
- Active NY RN license (verified via NURSYS)
- Minimum 2 years of IMCU/PCU experience; travel experience preferred
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Specialty-matched skills checklist
- Electronic health record experience required
