Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) — Registered Nurse
Utica, NY | Days | 4×12 | 13-Week Contract
This IMCU position offers day shift coverage in a fast-paced intermediate care setting managing adult patients (18+) across a broad range of acuities and diagnoses.
Unit Overview
The IMCU cares for adults presenting with neurological, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions. Common diagnoses include COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, cardiovascular stepdown, and post-operative recovery. The unit also manages chronic ventilator-dependent patients, with Respiratory Therapy available for collaborative support.

Shift Details
- Schedule: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36–48 hours per week (block scheduling is not guaranteed)
- Floating required
- Scrub color: Navy Blue
Required Certifications & Credentials
- Active NY RN license (verified via NURSYS)
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of IMCU/PCU experience (travel experience preferred)
- Specialty-matched skills checklist
- Valid driver's license matching submitted demographics
- RTO must be submitted at time of application
