Orthopedic Unit – Travel Nursing Assignment

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced nurse for its orthopedic unit. This is a direct patient care role requiring strong orthopedic and neurological assessment skills.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: Days (AM)
• Hours: 4 × 10-hour shifts per week (40 hours/week)
• Contract Length: 90 weeks
• Start Date: October 12, 2026

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license (state-specific)
• Strong orthopedic nursing experience
• Ability to assess and manage neurological components of orthopedic patients
• Proficiency in post-operative care, pain management, and mobility protocols

Clinical Scope

You'll care for orthopedic patients across the care continuum—from immediate post-operative recovery through rehabilitation phases. Expected duties include wound assessment, DVT prophylaxis monitoring, pain management, mobility assistance, and patient/family education on recovery protocols.

Work Environment

Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and interdisciplinary team members in a structured, focused unit environment.
