Telemetry Nurse

Position Overview

Join the nursing team in a telemetry unit providing intermediate-level cardiac monitoring and care. This is a 13-week contract position working nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 36 guaranteed hours per week.

Unit Details

You'll care for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring in a fast-paced, acute-care setting. The facility serves as a regional referral center with comprehensive cardiac and trauma services, including open-heart surgery and interventional cardiology programs. The nursing team is recognized for clinical excellence and a strong commitment to patient safety.

What You'll Do

• Monitor and assess patients on continuous telemetry
• Respond to arrhythmias and acute cardiac changes
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Provide direct patient and family education
• Document care and communicate status changes clearly

Requirements

• Current RN license (North Carolina)
• BLS certification required
• Experience in telemetry, cardiac care, or intermediate-level acute care preferred
• Ability to work independently on the night shift
• Strong assessment and communication skills

Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Start date: September 14, 2026
