Medical Technologist – Chemistry
Shift: Nights (11:15 PM – 7:15 AM), 40 hours per week
Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role
The facility's Chemistry and Diagnostic Immunology laboratory is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform and report laboratory testing that supports efficient lab operations and effective patient care. You'll work independently and collaboratively to maintain high-quality testing and quality control standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform chemistry and diagnostic immunology testing, including STAT and routine samples
- Conduct quality control evaluations and participate in proficiency testing
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic instrument issues
- Receive, process, and log laboratory specimens using the laboratory information system
- Execute testing accurately and timely
- Participate in quality improvement audits and workflow analysis
- Assist with training new staff on departmental procedures and policies
- Participate in department meetings
- Cover on-call shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology (or equivalent)
- Current MT or MLS (ASCP) certification, or equivalent (NCA, AMT, HEW)
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in clinical laboratory testing
- Local to the Cambridge area
- Reliable references from recent managers
