Pediatric Emergency Department Nurse

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Pediatric RN for its Emergency Department. You'll deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to pediatric patients and families in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to promote optimal health outcomes.

Shift & Schedule

• Mid shift: 3x12-hour (15:00–03:00 / 3:00 PM–3:00 AM)
• 13-week contract
• Start date: November 9, 2026

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ED experience
• BSN required
• Active, unrestricted Ohio RN license (or Compact license)
• Current CPR and PALS certifications
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Smoke-free facility

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage 1–4 patients per assignment, based on acuity
• Provide direct patient care, assessment, and family-centered support
• Work as part of the ED care team

Float Expectations

You will float across all ED locations and inpatient units as census and staffing needs require. Assignments may include:

• ED sites across the facility
• Mental Health Crisis Center (as part of ED rotation)
• Specialty Pediatric Units (Med/Surg, PICU, NICU, Transitional Care) when ED census is low

Dress Code

Navy scrubs with navy or black scrub pants
