Cath Lab Technologist – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility's cardiac catheterization lab is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week assignment. You'll work in a fast-paced environment managing three rooms daily, performing complex interventional cardiology procedures.

Shift & Schedule

• 4 x 10-hour days: Monday–Friday, 07:00–17:30
• Call requirement: Weekend call included; 9–11 days in a 6-week call rotation with 1–2 weekends per rotation cycle
• Float potential: Rare; if needed, would be to EP lab
• Scrubs: Provided

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' cath lab experience
• Structural heart scrub experience is essential
• Current ACLS and BLS
• RCIS or ARRT certification (or advanced equivalent)
• Strong skills in monitoring, PA lines, telemetry, and sterile field maintenance

Procedures You'll Support

• Balloon angioplasty, PCI, stent placement, and thrombectomy
• Left and right heart catheterization
• Impella insertion and rotablator atherectomy
• Complex PCI, laser atherectomy, and peripheral vascular interventions
• TAVR (preferred experience)

Preferred Additional Skills

• Room circulation and IV starts
• Conscious sedation experience
• Rhythm interpretation
• Watchman procedures, septal closures, ablations, and coil embolization

Important Notes

• Start date may vary (Wed–Fri of first week); full availability and flexibility required during orientation
• First-time travelers welcome; locals accepted
• Pre-start modules required (8–10 hours, non-billable)
• All testing must be completed within 48 hours of signing
