Urgent Care Nurse – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

Join the urgent care team for a 13-week assignment. You'll work day shifts seeing a diverse patient population across all age groups in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Schedule

• Day shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM (varied start times)
• Guaranteed 32–36 hours per week, alternating between 32- and 36-hour weeks
• Occasional weekend coverage expected
• Willing to float to other units within your skill set as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience in adult and pediatric emergency care
• Current New York State RN license (in hand at submission)
• BLS, PALS, and NIH certifications required
• Proficiency in rhythm identification; must pass a hospital-proctored EKG exam with ≥85% accuracy and 100% accuracy on critical rhythms
• Travel experience required
• Current flu vaccination required by November 1

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification
• Telemetry experience

Clinical Environment

The clinic handles approximately 90 patient visits daily across 15 rooms. You'll provide care to infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients with varied acuity levels.

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Candidates outside a 50-mile radius from the primary residence location preferred
• Orientation modules must be completed before start date
