Licensing & Credential Requirements
Massachusetts
An active, unencumbered RN license is required for travel OB/GYN positions. Massachusetts is not a Nurse Licensure Compact state. Travel RNs must obtain an individual Massachusetts RN license before starting an assignment. Apply through the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing well before your start date. BLS certification is universally required. Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required depending on the unit and facility. Verify specific requirements with your recruiter.
California
An active, unencumbered RN license is required for travel OB/GYN positions. California is not a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
