An active, unencumbered RN license is required for travel PCU / Stepdown positions. North Carolina is a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. RNs holding a multistate compact license issued by their home state can practice in North Carolina without obtaining a separate state license. BLS certification is universally required. West Virginia
