Licensing & Credential Requirements
California
Travel Interventional Rad Tech positions require active ARRT certification in the appropriate modality. Most facilities also expect current BLS certification through the American Heart Association. California requires a CRT (California Radiology Technologist) certificate issued by the CDPH Radiologic Health Branch. Fluoroscopy permits are required for certain modalities. Beyond ARRT (R), facilities commonly prefer the Vascular Interventional (VI) or Cardiac Interventional (CI) advanced certification. Scrub and sterile technique competency is required. Experience with specific vendor platforms (Siemens, Philips, GE) can affect placement. Submit your CRT application through the CDPH Radiologic Health Branch as soon as you have an offer — temporary permits are not routinely issued for radiologic technologists.
Georgia
